 | Pony rides An experienced guide will walk a Shetland pony in the grounds of the animal park while the young child rides it. Advance bookings are not required.

|  | Riding lessons Our riding lessons are held on the adjacent riding field. We have a variety of horses ranging from Shetland ponies to Shire horses.
All riding lessons require advanced booking.
If a lesson is not cancelled in advance a fee of 10€ will be charged.

Gnome’s way
The Gnome’s way goes through a forest populated by fairies and gnomes. If you keep your eyes open and listen carefully, you might have a quick look of the inhabitants of the forest. But remember, adults are not able to see them.
We go through Gnome’s way lead riding using calm Shetland ponies. Before the start of the trip, we get to know the ponies by patting and brushing them.
Duration of trek: 30 min
Suitability: Young children, weight under 50kg.
Size of group: 1-3 persons.

Reindeer’s way
A path, near Konijänkä park, made by the reindeer will be followed,. There will be time to admire the Lapp fell landscape as the horses walk through the snow-covered coniferous forests. The riding path will take one through a changing landscape but easily accessible at a slow pace. At the end of the trip, one can enjoy coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.
Duration: about 30 min
Suitability: For everyone interested in riding, including beginners. Children under 14 years old are expected to have some previous riding experience.

Squirrel’s way
The ride will take us through a beautiful snowy forest occasionally broken by bog lands. One can admire the Lapp fells that one can see through the trees. The riding path will take one through a changing landscape but easily accessible. We will also cross through bog lands. The horses will trot and/or canter if the weather and the level of the group allows. At the end of the trip we will enjoy coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.

Suitability: For people with some experience in riding and having a moderate fitness level

This ride will take us through a beautiful snowy forest occasionally broken by bog lands. We will admire the Lapp fells that one can see through the trees. The riding path will take one through a changing landscape, which is easily accessible. We will also cross through bog lands. The pace is slow and at the end of the trip we will enjoy coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.

Suitability: For everyone interested of riding, including beginners. Children under 14 years old are expected to have some previous riding experience.

Fox’s way
The ride will take us through a beautiful snowy forest occasionally broken by bog lands. The riding path will take one through a changing landscape, sometimes even in a bit more demanding terrain than the previously mentioned trips above. The trek will take one on a climb up a fell and during the descent one can admire the landscape opening in front of them through the trees. We will also cross through bog lands. The progress will be at a pace of trot and/or canter if the weather and the level of the group permit’s. At the end of the trip, we will enjoy coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.
Duration: about 1-1.5 h
Suitability: For people with experience in riding and having a moderate fitness level

The ride will take one by a bog veiled with snow up a fell that has been taken over by conifer trees. We get to admire the winter landscape of the Lapp fells from the horseback and we might even get a quick look at the animals in our forests. The riding path will take us through a changing landscape, sometimes in a bit more demanding terrain than the previous treks mentioned above. The pace is slow. At the end of the trip we will enjoy coffee and pastries at the coffee shop.
